A solvent loaded economical pigmented epoxy coating material mainly designed for concrete and cementitious surfaces of both floors and walls. Based on diluted Bisphenol A based Resins and Diluted Polyamide based curing agent. The recommended thickness for Ressi EPO Roll Coat Plus is from 50 to 200 microns in a single coat. Ressi EPO Roll Coat Plus is also suitable for a variety of substrates such as wood, metal, fiberglass and selected plastics. Its anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties make it an ideal coating for vertical wall applications for hospitals and other health care facilities.

Ressi EPO Roll Coat Plus
Solvent Based Epoxy Coating
Ressi EPO Roll Coat Plus is a solvent based pigmented epoxy coating material mainly designed for
concrete and cementitious surfaces of both floors and walls. Ressi EPO Roll Coat Plus is based on
diluted Bisphenol-A based resins and a diluted polyamide based curing agent. The recommended thickness for
Ressi EPO Roll Coat Plus is from 50 to 200 microns in a single coat.
It is also suitable for a variety of substrates such as wood, metal, fiberglass and selected plastics.
Its anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties make it an ideal coating for vertical wall applications
in hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
ADVANTAGES
Suitable for multi-layer applications
Easy to apply
Does not support algae or fungal growth
Good resistance to sea water and solvents
Suitable for old and new concrete surfaces

SURFACE PREPARATION
Steel: The base metal should be roughened and preferably shotblasted with grit. Where shot blasting
is not possible, pre-treatment may be carried out with tap hammers, rotary wire brushes or by flame scaling.
Cleaning with solvent or a strong detergent is advisable to ensure the surface is free from grease, oil, paint
and other contaminants. Ressi EPO Roll Coat Plus must be applied before oxidation of steel occurs.
Surface defects revealed by blast cleaning should be treated with a suitable repair mortar within the Ressichem
patch series compatible with both steel and subsequent epoxy materials.
Concrete / Cementitious Surfaces: Concrete and cementitious surfaces must be dry, clean and free
from mold, oil, curing compound, dirt, grease, oil or excessive laitance. Surface should be prepared by suitable
mechanical means to provide an open pore surface. Cracks, pinholes, potholes etc. should be routed out and repaired
with a suitable epoxy-based crack/void filler from the Ressichem range. The concrete surface should be levelled to
produce a roughened flat surface. Undulated floors can be levelled/repaired using suitable floor repairing materials
from the Ressichem range prior to application of Ressi EPO Roll Coat Plus. All internal corners should
be covered using a suitable epoxy compatible material from the Ressichem range (or as approved by consultant/client).
Sharp edges should be rounded off. New concrete floors must be at least 28 days old prior to application. Moisture
content must be less than 5%.
MIXING
Ressi EPO Roll Coat Plus is supplied in premeasured packs. Base and hardener should be stirred
separately before mixing. After stirring individually, transfer base into a mixing container and mix for 1 minute.
Add hardener and mix using a slow speed drill machine fitted with a paddle mixer for 2 minutes to get a uniform mix.
Scrape sides, edges and bottom of the container using a spatula and continue mixing for a further 1 minute.
APPLICATION
Apply the mixed material using a suitable squeegee, stiff nylon brush or roller. Work the material into the surface
to ensure total absorption into the substrate. Finish using a medium-to-long nap roller.
Ensure required application rates are achieved to maintain minimum dry film thickness per coat. Spray application is
also a preferred method to accurately obtain the required dry film thickness.
A minimum of 2 coats should be applied to achieve desired performance. Before each coat, examine the surface for
pinholes/cavities. Where pinholes are apparent, fill using Ressi EPO Crack Fill or
Patch Epoxy 111 Repair Mortar. Apply the second coat at right angles to the first and preferably
in a different color.
For large water tank areas expected to undergo high pressure, strengthen by using 3 coats and fiberglass mesh.
Consult Ressichem for details.
LIMITATIONS
At higher temperatures pot life will be reduced. For working in cold climates (<5°C),
Ressi EPO Roll Coat Plus containers need to be kept in a hot water bath.
PACK SIZE

COVERAGE
Approximately 68 – 70 SFT / coat @ 100 micron thickness. Actual coverage may vary according to the
substrate porosity and texture, wastage factors, site and application conditions. It is advisable to apply the
material in a small test area to estimate material coverage.
SHELF LIFE
12 months from the date of manufacture when stored under dry sheltered warehouse conditions in original unopened
packaging. Extreme temperature / humidity may reduce shelf life.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Gloves, goggles and suitable masks should be worn. Do not reuse containers; dispose them off as per local rules and
regulations. Please refer to the product MSDS for further health and safety information.
